행주산성

행주산성의 정확한 축성연대는 알 수 없으나, 성의 축성기법이 삼국시대 양식으로 한강을 사이에 두고 치열한 쟁탈전을 치루던 6세기 이전부터 행주산성의 실체가 존재했음을 짐작케 한다. 1992년 시굴조사에서 출토된 삼국시대의 와당 및 토기 파편 등은 삼국시대부터 이미 군사전략상 요새였음을 증명하고 있다.

Haengjusanseong Fortress

Haengjusanseong Fortress atop Deogyangsan Mountain was the site of a major Korean victory against the enemy during the Japanese invasion 400 years ago. Women also participated in the dramatic battle, carrying stones in their aprons (haengju in Korean).
