인천상륙작전 기념관

1950년 공산세력의 불법 침략으로 위기에 놓이 대한민국을 UN의 깃발아래 목숨을 바쳐 자유 민주주의를 지켜낸 우방국가 젊은이들의 숭고한 희생정신을 영원히 기리고 그 뜻을 소중히 하기 위하여 6.25전쟁 당시 전세의 역전에 결정적 계기가 된 인천상륙작전이 있었던 이곳에 1984년 온 시민의 정성으로 건립되었다.

The Memorial Hall for Incheon Landing Operation

Located in Ongnyeon-dong, Yeonsu-gu in Incheon Metropolitan City, the Incheon Landing Operation Memorial Hall is a war memorial hall built to commemorate the centennial anniversary of the opening of Incheon Port in 1984. Its theme centers on the successful Incheon Landing Operation led by UN Commander in Chief General McArthur during the Korean War. Inside the building, there are photos of military armaments used by the South and North Korean military as well as photos showing what life was like back then.
