필라델피아 세븐티식서스

필라델피아 세븐티식서스는 미국 펜실베이니아주 필라델피아를 연고지로 하는 NBA 동부 콘퍼런스 애틀랜틱 디비전 소속 프로농구 팀으로 홈구장은 웰스 파고 센터이다. 2004년 NBA 드래프트에서 안드레 이궈달라를 영입했다. 2006년, 팀의 주축이었던 앨런 아이버슨을 덴버 너기츠로 보낸 뒤 2008년 로스앤젤레스 클리퍼스에서 영입한 엘튼 브랜드를 중심으로 팀을 재구성했다. 필라델피아가 1776년 독립 선언의 무대로 알려진 이유로 팀 이름이 붙은 것이다. NBA팀 최초로 유니폼 광고(스텁허브)을 맺은 팀이다.

In 1946, Italian immigrant Daniel Biasone sent a $5,000 check to the National Basketball League offices in Chicago, and the Syracuse Nationals became the largely Midwest-based league's easternmost team, based in the Upstate New York city of Syracuse. The Syracuse Nationals began play in the NBL in the same year professional basketball was finally gaining some legitimacy with the rival Basketball Association of America that was based in large cities like New York and Philadelphia.
